What is Good Year? [Part 2]
The fusion of classic and evolution - Brother Bridge's shoemaking philosophy

Brother Bridge's goal is not to simply make "luxury" shoes, but to provide "high-quality" shoes. Whether it's work boots or dress shoes, our belief remains the same. We want to continue making shoes that are durable, comfortable, and beautiful, and that can be loved for decades to come.
Adoption of Goodyear welt construction

One of the essential elements in Brother Bridge shoemaking is the Goodyear welt method. It involves many steps and is more expensive, but it also results in shoes that last longer and are easier to repair. We cherish this method and enjoy making classic shoes, sparing no effort.
Innovative midsole for ultimate comfort

We believe that comfort is an important factor when it comes to shoes, While boots and leather shoes typically use leather insoles , Brother Bridge uses a special board made by the German company Karl Freudenberg for the insole, achieving a comfortable fit and flexibility.
A fusion of machine and handiwork
Brother Bridge manufactures shoes by balancing machine and handwork. The toe area is machine-drawn to ensure uniformity as it forms the face of the shoe, while the instep area is hand-drawn to create flexibility. This manual technique, which leaves room for growth, has resulted in Goodyear shoes offering enhanced comfort.

Evolving while maintaining classic techniques
According to Director Suzuki, Brother Bridge's shoemaking continues to evolve by incorporating the latest technology while preserving classic techniques, just like Leica's commitment to the quality of photography as it evolves from film cameras to digital cameras.
Brother Bridge also strives for a balance between tradition and evolution, further improving comfort and durability.
