Bandanas have a rich history that has evolved over a long period of time.
As workwear, travel essential, and a fashion statement, bandanas have transcended time and borders, becoming an integral part of people's lives. One Ear Brand has taken this universal appeal and reimagined it through Japanese craftsmanship.
The brand is directed by Mr. Jonathan Lukaszek, a vintage bandana collector based in Osaka. With years of experience working with vintage items and examining numerous archives, he creates bandanas that retain the charm of the past while seamlessly fitting into modern life.
From material creation to dyeing, printing, and sewing, all processes are completed in Japan.
They use non-toxic materials and never perform discharge (bleach) printing, carefully finishing each bandana one by one.
While mass-produced bandanas typically have all four sides cut, older bandanas retained "selvedges" on two sides, which were the edges of the woven fabric. This was a characteristic detail of vintage bandanas and a testament to their quality. The brand name 〈One Ear Brand〉 comes from this selvedge specification, finished with a shuttle loom, and the values behind it.
Another charm of these bandanas is the idea that they are not complete when new but rather become complete through use. With repeated washing, the fabric softens and conforms, and the color and texture gradually change. Like vintage cotton of old, they deepen in character over time, becoming a unique item that belongs only to you.
We offer three sizes: 50x50cm, 70x70cm, and 90x90cm.
