One Ear Brand was founded by Osaka-based bandana expert Jonathan Lukasek.
Using custom fabric, the single-ear bandanas are made entirely in Japan and printed one at a time in a kimono-making factory in Kyoto, meaning each batch is slightly different.
They make amazing eco bags, face masks, scarves, furoshiki wrapping cloths, head wraps, and more. Japanese-American artist Yurika Cherise Shikai paints each piece using a bandana as a canvas.
This design is inspired by my favorite plant: the Golden Lotus Banana, native to Yunnan, China. Yurika and I compared photos of the lotus bananas I grow at home in Japan. I kept this design simple because all the details came from the plant itself. The banana leaf camouflage print in the center creates a nice repeating pattern. The dark color makes this bandana easy to coordinate with outfits all year round.入荷通知リクエストについて
