One Ear Brand was founded by Osaka-based bandana expert Jonathan Lukasek.
The single-ear bandanas are made entirely in Japan using custom fabric and printed one at a time in a kimono-making factory in Kyoto, meaning each batch is slightly different.
They make amazing eco bags, face masks, scarves, furoshiki wrapping cloths, head wraps, and more. Japanese-American artist Yurika Cherise Shikai paints each piece using a bandana as a canvas.
We have many influences and like to add a touch of humour and irony to our designs.
One day, while I was looking through some old scarves and bandanas, I came across a simple and elegant scarf box design from Hermès, wrapped in a ribbon. I loved it so much that I started to create a similar design, and in the process, an interesting idea came to mind.
"I thought it would be fun if the design looked a little worn, as if it had been sent via international mail. So I deliberately made the design worn, adding torn tape, faded stamps, and wrinkled cardboard to give it the appearance of having arrived via mail. As a result, I think the design is perfect for those who appreciate the wabi-sabi aesthetic."
The classic bandana design in muted colors of camel brown, red, black, and off-white is perfect for fall and winter, and is fun to style. It's also fun to share this concept.
We also redesigned the font for "Asahi Super Dry" and used One Ear Brand's original "Super Happy" font. It may be a little unusual and unique, but it's a 100% original One Ear Brand design. The illustrations were done by Yurika.

We are influenced by many sources, and we love a little humor and sarcasm in our designs. Looking at old scarves and bandannas we came across an intriguing design by Hermes. It was a ribbon wrapped scarf box design that looked really simple and elegant. We really liked this idea and started to make one similar to it and during this design session we came to realize it would be funny if it was banged up, as it were sent through international mail. So we took our design and artistically sent it through the mail. Torn tape, faded stamps, wrinkled cardboard, etc. Result: the design is perfect for the “wabisabi” admirers out there. The camel brown, red, black and off-white a great classic bandanna design balance and color palette for autumn and winter. It should be fun to style and share the concept of the design. Regarding exchanges
- We offer a free exchange service (domestic only) for the first exchange.
- Please contact us with your desired color and size within 7 days of receiving the product.
- For exchanges due to customer convenience from the second time onwards, the customer will be responsible for the round-trip shipping costs.

Regarding returns
1. Products that can be returned
- Unused items (tried on indoors only) for which there is no exchange size available.
- In the case of initial defective products (defective products, incorrect shipments, etc.)
2. Products that cannot be returned
- Products that have been used once (including trying on in places with outdoor shoes)
- Products that have been damaged or soiled due to customer's responsibility
- Products that have passed 7 days since arrival

Notes on returning items
Please return the item in the same cardboard box in which it was originally sent from our store. We cannot accept returns if the item returned differs from how it was delivered.

Regarding shipping costs for returns

Return method
If you wish to return an item, please log in to the returns/exchanges my page and submit a return request by selecting the desired item.
After our staff confirms your request, an approval email will be sent. Please ship the returned item to the address specified in the approval email.
After confirming receipt of the item, we will refund the product price or send an exchange item.
*For defective products or incorrect deliveries, we will cover the shipping costs.
*For exchanges where a price difference occurs and for orders from outside Japan, please return the item and place a new order.
