“Shirohebi” (70×70) -One Ear Brand-
One Ear Brand was founded by Osaka-based bandana expert Jonathan Lukasek.
The single-ear bandanas are made entirely in Japan using custom fabric and printed one at a time in a kimono-making factory in Kyoto, meaning each batch is slightly different.
They make amazing eco bags, face masks, scarves, furoshiki wrapping cloths, head wraps, and more. Japanese-American artist Yurika Cherise Shikai paints each piece using a bandana as a canvas.
Shirohebi
"Shirohebi" translates from Japanese to English as "white snake." Snakes have a long history in Japanese mythology, with legends of them bestowing magical powers on people and bringing wealth through the deity Benzaiten.
Snakes are also very cool and fashionable. It goes without saying that snakes play an important role in fashion, but when it comes to white snakes, they are primarily seen as a symbol of "good luck" and "wealth." While slightly influenced by old Gucci scarves, we designed our own original snake print bandana, which was inspired by the tiger print bandana we released a few years ago.
With 2025 being the "Year of the Snake," we felt it was the perfect time to create another "Lucky Bandana" and bring you a wellness-themed piece. We truly hope you all enjoy the design and characters on this bandana.
